“ABC Baltimore is pleased to offer its warmest congratulations to our City’s 50th mayor, Catherine Pugh.
“ABC enjoyed a very good working relationship with Mayor Pugh during the years she served in the State Senate and we are confident that will continue as she assumes her new role as Baltimore’s Chief Executive.
“We’ve always appreciated the mayor understanding and first-hand experience with the needs and concerns of the small business owner. She understands that we can’t expand employment opportunities without creating an environment where small business can thrive.
“We’re also pleased that Mayor Pugh has made it clear she plans to work closely with Governor Hogan to tackle the tough challenges facing the City, including escalating the pace of razing abandoned housing and curbing overregulation.
“The Mayor is a great supporter of Project JumpStart and has vowed to partner with similar non-profits in the private sector and philanthropic community to enhance job training and employment opportunities in the City.
“ABC Baltimore shares Mayor Pugh’s goals for the City in the years to come, including enhancing job opportunities for youth, growing small-business, and addressing the overall well-being of the City.
“We have assured the mayor of our full support in helping her achieve these very important and challenging goals.”
