On Thursday, June 22 the Young Leaders committee and ABC’s Professional Development Program (PDP) students volunteered at the Believe in Tomorrow House at Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital. The house provides housing and meals for families who traveled to the facility for the duration of their child’s care at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
The group prepared a carnival-themed evening for the 15 families staying at the house. The groups set up carnival-style games, handed out prizes, brought in a balloon animal artist and cooked dinner.
The Young Leaders participate in this community service project twice a year and it is a requirement of the students in the PDP to participate during their enrollment in the program.
