ABC Mourns the Passing of Albert Marani, Founder, A.R. Marani, Inc.

Albert R. Marani, who nearly 25 years ago launched one of the most enduring commercial contracting companies in the area, passed away suddenly, March 2.

A graduate of Baltimore Polytechnical Institute, Mr. Marani went on to study engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Before joining Lawrence Construction Company, Mr. Marani owned a small structural steel erection company.

A.R. Marani was launched in 1992. The firm builds and renovates medical, religious, educational and commercial facilities and historical structures. Their list of projects include tenant fit-outs, elevator installation in existing buildings, church/school renovations, and new buildings.

A long-time member and supporter of ABC, A.R. Marani has won numerous Awards of Excellence over the years for its work, including the renovation and addition of the historic Senator Theater and the ABC Baltimore headquarters in Towson.

Albert Marani is survived by his wife Joyce, and his three children: Alan R. Marani and his wife Lynn, Andrew R. Marani and his wife Martha, Lisa J. Ryan and her husband Kevin, his sister Sandra Marani and seven grandchildren. Alan and Andrew serve as the principals of A.R. Marani, Inc.
