The Baltimore Boy Scouts are seeking skilled trades professionals to participate in workday to improve and maintain their camp in Harford Co.
The goal for this skilled trades workday is to engage skilled tradesmen and other adult volunteers to come together for a one day workday to help maintain and continue to improve the facilities of Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation for future generations. Potential projects include electrical, roofing, carpentry, plumbing, roadwork, and more.
Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation located near Whiteford, Maryland is comprised of over 1,700 acres and has been operated by the Baltimore Area Council for nearly 75 years since 1948. This tract of land is the largest privately owned undeveloped property in Harford County.
Annually more than 20,000 youth and 10,000 adults participate in programs and camping at Broad Creek learning leadership, self-reliance, and how to interact with others. The amount of Broad Creek and Scouting alumni residing in the greater Baltimore area is significant.
