** MERIT SHOP PARTICIPATION CRITICAL**
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has announced that it will be doing a Davis-Bacon wage survey for “Building” construction projects performed in various counties in Maryland
(please see the letter from DOL for further details).
The survey is for federal, state, local and privately owned projects that were active or ongoing between 3/01/2017 and 2/28/2018.
As you know, prevailing wage rates do not accurately reflect market wages. That is due to the low participation in these surveys by Merit Shop contractors. So the better participation, the more accurate results!
