ABC Baltimore is pleased to announce that Robert Caskey, a fourth-year apprentice with Fidelity Engineering captured silver medals in the HVACR and safety competitions at the National Craft Championship.

Joshua Burns, Robert Caskey, Ryan Nelson, and James Ellis represented ABC Baltimore at the National Craft Championship, held this year Feb. 28 ¬â€œ Mar. 3 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Burns, a plumber with Southern Mechanical; Caskey, an HVACR technician with Fidelity Engineering; Nelson, a sprinkler fitter with Wolf Fire Protection; and Ellis, an electrician with A & J Electric Co., won their respective competitions here in Baltimore. Then they were selected by a panel of volunteer member judges to represent the chapter at the championship.

The first National Craft Championship were held in 1987 with only a handful of participants, competing in four crafts. Nearly 30 years later, more than 2,000 men and women have competed in what has grown to become one of the industry’s best recognized and respected craft skills competitions.

Over the past 12 years, Baltimore apprentices have captured a medal ten different times, including four Gold medals. For more information on the Craft Championship visit here.
