On June 23rd, two local film makers won an Emmy Award for a short news feature they shot on Project JumpStart. The seven-minute feature, published by Circa News and directed and produced by Matthew and Thomas Locastro, won in the education and schools category of the awards at the 60th Annual National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter Emmy Awards. Circa News is owned and operated by Sinclair Broadcasting, the largest broadcasting network in the United States. The news feature has been seen in just about every major market across the country.
“We are thrilled that the Emmy committee found the stories of our graduates compelling,” said Kate McShane, placement director of Project JumpStart.
