The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Baltimore District Office has awarded ABC Baltimore member Kara DiPietro of HMC, Inc. in Columbia, Md. as the SBA’s 2017 Maryland Small Business Person of the Year.
Donald Walsh, with member law firm Wright, Constable and Skeen, has also been awarded as the Attorney Advocate of the Year.
The selection for these awards was based on several criteria, including: evidence of success as measured by sales and profits; innovativeness of product or service; response to adversity; demonstration of the necessary potential for long-term business success and economic growth.
On Thursday, June 8th, Kara and Donald will be honored at the 33rd Annual Maryland Small Business Week Awards Luncheon at Martin’s West in Woodlawn, Md., which is held in celebration of National Small Business Week.
