Craft Competition: October 25 at the Timonium Fairgrounds – 4H Building

As interest in skilled construction trades is on the rise ABC Baltimore will showcase its first ever Craft Competition and Member Network at the Timonium Fairgrounds on Thursday, October 25th. The local competition will consist of apprentices and their companies highlighting skills in plumbing, carpentry, HVACR, sheet metal and electrical. In addition, interested Baltimore County high school students will be in attendance to see first-hand how they can build a career in the construction industry with specialty skills that last a lifetime.

Baltimore construction companies showcasing demos and 15 apprentices will be on hand for the competition. Winners of this competition will head to Long Beach, CA to compete in the National Craft Championships.

ABC’s goal of this event is to introduce local high school students, community members and employers that construction careers provide skills that last a lifetime and that help generate personal security and income, as well as connect ABC members to the hard work of apprentices that may typically go unnoticed. Skilled tradespeople are needed all around the country and retaining the best of the best in Baltimore is key to a future, stable workforce.

There are plenty of opportunities for involvement in the Craft Competition and Member Network. We would be pleased to see you at any and all of the events of the day. Here is the schedule:
