Governor Hogan unveils alternative to paid sick-leave bill

Governor Hogan said earlier this week he would introduce this new version on the first day of the General Assembly’s annual 90-day session Jan. 10.

ABC Baltimore support’s Governor Hogan’s plan to propose an alternative bill that would be less harmful to the small business community.

The governor’s proposal is meant to avoid an override of the paid sick-leave bill he vetoed last legislative session. In the plan, the Governor said he will propose legislation to create tax credits for businesses with fewer than 50 employees that provide paid leave benefits
