ABC Greater Baltimore is in need of judges for our Excellence in Construction program this year and we’re hoping that you can assist us. I know some of you may have never done this before, but no worries. I will walk you through the process. I am planning on hosting an in person and virtual training session this Friday. But if you can’t attend, we can chat one-on-one. Just let me know your availability.
We have modified the judging process in order to keep everyone healthy and safe.
We will have judging teams of 3 individuals. Ideally the teams would consist of a architect/engineer, a general contractor, and a specialty contractor.
A lead judge will be assigned.
· The responsibility of the lead judge is to assign one member of the judging team to do a site tour. We would like to the tour to be in person, if possible. (All tours will be scheduled in advance.)
· Schedule an interview with the owner’s representative/general contractor if they are not available during the site visit with be scheduled via Zoom.
· Interview the architect.
After the tour has been completed, the team will schedule a Zoom meeting in which they will discuss the findings of the tour along with the over-all entry of each project.
The lead judge will then submit the scores and any relative notes in the EIC portal.
